With deep respect to the essence of Cacao as a sublime, pure, repairing, and spiritual element, we will lovingly enter this space of progressive instruction and encounter the energy of Cacao from the eyes & perspective of the native original people of Guatemala and the Maya Tz’utujil community. Their ancestral practices, expertise, and knowledge of this sacred plant have prevailed and passed down from generation to generation in the codices, ceramics, sacred documents, and oral tradition. This has always been manifested in their daily life and maintained thanks to the guardians and protectors of the Maya cosmovision; the empirical doctors of excellence, spiritual guides, midwives, and people endowed from birth with exceptional gifts.

This approach will allow us to really know Cacao as an essential element in the life of Mayan communities. As a spiritual connection with Ajaaw (Creator, and Maker of life) with the sacred elements, with our inner being and the other beings with whom we coexist and inhabit Mother Earth. We will deepen Cacao's knowledge as a noble offering, a dignified drink for celebrations, and healing medicine for our physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Cacao as a path in the search for genuine peace, love, self-care, and personal appreciation from the Maya cosmovision view and spirituality through the sacred fire. This program duration will be oxlajuj ramaaj (13 weeks), under the understanding that everything within Maya spirituality has a reason for being, this number being the maximum point of energy in the Maya calendar and the joints that keep us standing.

We are fully aware the knowledge of this sacred seed is infinite and inspiration comes solely and exclusively from Ajaaw. For this reason, this program does not offer a course that certifies a professional and absolute level of knowledge, instead, it offers an awakening that allows its use and consumption with respect and appreciation of its history, true function, and mission in our being and our life. We are very concerned to observe how cultural appropriation has made several people call themselves teachers, cacao moms/cacao dads, or even self-proclaim cacao gods, essentially without really knowing its historical, cultural, and sacred value for the indigenous communities; We value the collective fight and efforts our brothers & sisters have undertaken to clarify all this and we share it because that is the margin of respect, love and away from all ambitions.

At the end of the program, we will have more awareness about the connection, spirit, origin, and relationship of this sacred seed with the Maya cosmology and spirituality. We will be able to drink our sacred beverage with greater respect, love, and constant gratitude, above all, we will be willing to open our hearts to the spiritual path.
